We will descend through the mysterious cloud forest, home to a wide variety of flora and fauna, including beautiful orchids, heliconias, and primitive ferns. During the hike, you will have the opportunity to witness the fascinating mating ritual of the Andean Cock-of-the-rock (Rupicola peruviana). Set apart from the town, this lodge offers private bathrooms and showers to ensure a comfortable stay.

After enjoying a delicious breakfast, we’ll continue our journey by bus to Atalaya, a 45-minute ride that will take us to an altitude of 490 meters above sea level. In Atalaya, we’ll board a boat for a 30-minute ride to Paititi Lodge, where we’ll spend the night in traditional accommodations with private bathrooms and showers. During the boat trip, we’ll have the opportunity to observe a variety of animals in their natural habitat.
After enjoying a delicious lunch, in the afternoon we’ll head to Lake Machuwasi. There, we’ll take a ride on a typical catamaran to observe a wide variety of birds, such as the Hoatzin (Ophisthocomus hoazin), as well as monkeys, reptiles, dwarf caimans, and insects. We might also be lucky enough to spot some capybaras (Hydrochoerus hydrochaeris). In the evening, we offer an exciting optional Night Trekking program for those who wish to explore the jungle in the dark. Afterward, we will return to the lodge, where private bathrooms and showers are available to ensure a comfortable and relaxing stay.

Very early we will set off by boat to the green parrot clay lick, a mineral-rich clay wall where we will be able to observe between 3 and 4 different species of parrots in their natural habitat.
