In the afternoon, join a guided jungle walk in search of monkeys, sloths, birds, and other rainforest wildlife. After dinner, venture into the forest on a nighttime excursion to look for caimans, frogs, snakes, and other nocturnal creatures.
Day 2 – Tahuayo River Wildlife Exploration
Start the day with an optional early-morning excursion before breakfast. Later, explore the Tahuayo River by boat while searching for pink and gray river dolphins, birds, sloths, iguanas, and other wildlife. Depending on weather and river conditions, there may also be an opportunity to swim.
After lunch, take part in optional piranha fishing or continue wildlife observation by boat. Look for macaws, monkeys, sloths, and other species before enjoying an Amazonian sunset.
After dinner, head out for another nighttime walk to search for frogs, tarantulas, dwarf caimans, insects, porcupines, and other nocturnal animals.
Day 3 – Amazon Sunrise & Return to Iquitos
For early risers, an optional sunrise excursion offers excellent birdwatching along the Tahuayo River. After breakfast, take a final jungle walk through the flooded Igapó forest, where you may encounter howler monkeys, pygmy marmosets, owl monkeys, and the distinctive hoatzin.
After lunch, begin the return journey by boat and vehicle to Iquitos, with transfer to your hotel or the airport.
